WHERE CAN I TAKE MY DOG IN THE OTWAYS
DOG FRIENDLY AREAS IN THE
OTWAY RANGES - GREAT OCEAN ROAD.
It is advised that dogs be on a leash at all times
in "dog friendly" designated areas.
* Blackwood Gully Tearooms & Lavers Hill Tavern - Lavers Hill. Outside only.
* Johanna Beach - entire beach.
* Stevenson Falls - Apollo Bay - Forest Road .
* Beauchamp Falls - Up near Beech Forest.
* Dandos Camp Ground - via Lardner Track near Gellibrand River.
* Old Beechy Rail Trail - 48km from Colac to Beech Forest.
Apollo Bay and Surrounds.
* Main Street of Apollo Bay - on a leash at all times. Many Cafes will allow dogs to sit at the outside tables. Please check with the staff before sitting down.
* Marengo Beach – beach opposite Ocean Park Dve through to the breakwater (April 30 - Dec 24)
* Apollo Bay Main Beach - between breakwater wall and adjacent to Joyce St from April 30th-December 24th. Dogs others times before 9am and after 7pm.
* Skenes Creek - entire beach between April 30 & Dec 24.
* Wye River - The beach area between the foreshore camping ground and the toilet block.
* Kennett River - The beach area between the Revegetation Fence and Surf Lifesaving Club.

A lot of the Great Ocean Road region is classified as "National Park" to help protect Australia's native flora and fauna. This means that we are not permitted to take animals into these areas, we ask that you please keep this in mind at all times, when travelling with pets.
